Teddy Bear Pools & Spas is an independently owned pool and spa installation, service and retail center located in Chicopee, Mass. It is known as New England's largest single-store dealership of Hot Springs Hot Tubs Premier Aluminum pools and the National Parts retailer of Eshter Williams & Johnny Weissmuller Pools Parts

History
In 1965, at the age of 14, Ted Hebert vacuumed pools and worked on the display lot of a swimming pool retailer. In 1975, he became a subcontractor, installing pools for various pool companies. That same year, Hebert began Teddy Bear Pools, operating out of his family's house in East Springfield, Mass.
The company, which started with just four employees, sold, installed, repaired and serviced inground and aboveground pools.
By 1978, Teddy Bear Pools had moved out of the carport in East Springfield to a small garage on Memorial Drive in Chicopee, and had grown to 15 employees. In 1979, Hebert moved the company to its present home at 41 East Street in Chicopee, Mass.
During the height of the season, Teddy Bear Pools & Spas employs more than 130 people and installs, repairs and services thousands of pools and spas in the area.
Products and Services
As of 2010, the company included a retail store, parts department, five laboratory stations for pool and spa water analysis, a hot tub/spa sales showroom, warehouses in Chicopee and South Hadley, Mass., totalling 50,000 square feet, fully staffed service departments for pools and spas, more than 35 radio-equipped vehicles, a 20 x 40 inground pool, a 17 x 33 custom inground pool, five aboveground pool displays, administrative offices, and a full line of equipment, supplies, chemicals and accessories.
Teddy Bear employees regularly attend national and regional training seminars offered by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals and Hot Springs Spas. As of 2010, 15 employees were CPO certified.
