History
Shasta opened its doors in 1966 when Bob Ast founded the company. His brother Skip joined the following year and business began to boom. Today, Skip's sons, Steve and Jeff, serve as Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Construction respectively.
Shasta considers itself a highly competitive, forward-thinking company that has also retained its roots as an intimate, family run business. The firm is known for its in-depth employee training, technological developments, and close relationships with Arizona homebuilders. During the housing boom, Shasta would construct four or five model pools for sample homes in a large development, free of charge. In return, the firm would ask to be the builder of choice for any family that wanted to add a swimming pool. Using this technique the company was often able to gain exclusive rights to the development, cementing their success in the region. Shasta is a member of the Master Pools Guild
