Pool & Spa Depot
Pool & Spa Depot is a family owned company specializing in the design and construction of inground and aboveground swimming pools, as well as sales of equipment, water treatment products, spas, saunas, gaming and leisure-related products from four separate locations. The Antioch, Tenn.-based company in 2010 ranked No. 46 on Pool & Spa News' annual list of the nation's Top 50 Builders.

History
When they moved to Nashville, Tenn., from England in 1989, Peter and Sandra Von Hopffgarten sought to provide top customer service, quality brand names, service and selection of swimming pools, spas and other recreational products.
Pool & Spa Depot was founded in 1996 by Peter, Sandra and Benno Von Hopffgarten, Peter's father. The original location was a storefront on Antioch Pike in Nashville. After three years in business, Pool & Spa Depot was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the recreation industry.
In April 2000, Pool & Spa Depot moved to its new store in the Crossings. The new building consists of 80,000 square feet of showroom and warehousing designed specifically for pool, spa and recreational products.
In 2002, the first Pool & Spa Depot outlet store opened in Cookeville, Tenn. The next expansion was into Kentucky in 2004, when the Bowling Green outlet store was opened. In 2005, the Hendersonville outlet store opened in the Rivergate area of Hendersonville, Tenn. That same year, a storage warehouse called Factory Direct opened in Smyrna, Tenn.
In 2007, the Factory Direct warehouse moved to Harding Place in Nashville.
In October 2010, Pool & Spa Depot filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in Nashville.

Pool & Spa Depot offers one-piece fiberglass inground pools, custom vinyl ingrounds, designer gunite ingrounds, partial inground vinyl pools, complete pool renovations, Dream Maker Spas, Nordic Hot Tubs, Bahama Spas by Dynasty, Finnleo traditional and infrared saunas, exotic wood furniture, cast iron patio furniture, aluminum patio furniture, cast aluminum patio furniture, a selection of maintenance and water treatment products by Baquacil, Brilliance and others, heat pumps from Aquacal, AutoPilot salt chlorine generators, pumps, filters, toys and games, Beringer Billiards and Connelly Billiards tables, and more.
Pool & Spa Depot's service department handles opening and closing of pools, liner replacements and repairs, and much more. Its service team repairs and maintains all makes and models of the company's core brands, including Ocean Reef Pools and Vogue Pools, as well as most other makes of pools and spas.
