Lake Norman Pool and Spa is an independently owned swimming pool and spa installation, retail and service center with three North Carolina locations in Statesville, Cornelius and Denver.

History
Lake Norman Pool and Spa was founded in 1987 as Statesville Pool and Spa in a small building on Center Street in downtown Statesville, N.C., after owner Bob Dooley realized the need for a full-service pool and spa retail store offering water analysis, pool and spa maintenance products, and service.
The business initially concentrated on sales of aboveground pools, spas and at-home service. In 1991, Statesville Pool and Spa became an Authorized Dealer for Bioguard Pool and Spa Products.
In 1994, Bob and his wife Dedie purchased property at 411 South Center Street, and built a 7,000-square-foot facility to house the business' retail showroom, offices and warehouse. As the retail business grew, so did the service end, and the company soon began installing and repairing equipment throughout Iredell County and surrounding areas.
With the population growth of Southern Iredell and the Lake Norman area, Statesville Pool and Spa looked to the Cornelius area for expansion. In 1998, land was purchased on Statesville Road in Cornelius for construction of a second retail location. Construction on the Cornelius location began and ended the following year, and the facility took the name Lake Norman Pool and Spa. Soon after, the Statesville store was renamed Lake Norman Pool and Spa as well.
The company's expansion continued in 2004, when the business took over the former location of Denver Pool and Spa on Hwy. 16 in Denver, N.C., broadening its reach to the western side of Lake Norman. After extensive remodeling, the Denver store location opened in spring 2006; an outdoor pool park, showcasing full-size working displays of both inground and aboveground pools, was completed at this location in 2009.
The last major part of a multi-year expansion was completed in 2009 with the occupation of a new facility on South Tradd Street in Statesville, behind Lake Norman's Statesville store. The facility serves as a warehouse and distribution point for the three stores, as well as a corporate office and home for the firm's service and construction divisions.
Products
Lake Norman carries fiberglass pools by Leisure and Trilogy; vinyl-liner pool systems by StarBrite Pools and Matrix Pools; Zodiac-Vogue aboveground pools; and Aquatic Fitness Systems by Dimension One Spas.
The company also stocks spas from Dimension One Spas, Baja Spas and Nordic Hot Tubs, and builds custom inground hot tubs as well.
As for chemicals, Lake Norman offers products by BioGuard and SpaGuard; Nature2 sanitizing systems; mineral programs from Frog Pool Systems; salt systems (salt/chlorine generation) by Mineral Springs Salt; chlorine-free Baquacil and SoftSwim products; and chlorine/bromine sanitizing systems.
In addition, Lake Norman carries suction-side cleaners, pressure-side cleaners, booster pump pressure-side cleaners, and automatic cleaners with built-in pumps/filters; pool covers by Merlin Safety Covers; custom spa covers; pool fencing by Safe ‘n Secure Fencing; heat pump, gas (natural and LP) and solar pool heaters; pumps and filters; vinyl-liners; slides; pool floats and a variety of outdoor accessories.
