About ATRI
ATRI offers continuing education courses at conferences that will advance the knowledge and skills of the aquatic therapist.
Traveling "institutes" take place across the country, with topics ranging from orthopedic to pediatric to age-spectrum aquatic therapy, as well as clinics focusing on physical training, therapy to various areas of the body, and more
Certification, correspondence courses and other services are also available.
Faculty
As an educational organization, ATRI is built around faculty from a wide range of disciplines that can be applied to aquatic therapy. ATRI's current faculty includes:
- Donna Adler, owner of Liquid Assets for Fitness and trainer for the Arthritis Foundation
- Eevaliisa Anttila, founder and CEO of the Finnish Institute of Aquatics and physiotherapist
- Debbie Ashton, dance and movement teacher behind "Fluid Moves" programs
- Barb Batson, Aquatic Exercise Association aquatic fitness instructor and program trainer for NMSS and Arthritis Foundation
- Flavia Bayron, associate professor at the University of Puerto Rico in the physical therapy program
- Sheralee Beebe, post-rehab aquatic specialist and co-author of ATRI's Rheumatology Certification program
- Helen Binkley, Athletic Training Education program director at Middle Tennessee State University
- Marty Biondi, co-owner of Therapeutic & Wellness Specialists
- Sally Brindle, aquatic program director at the Indianapolis JCC
- June Chewning, president and educational specialist for Fitness Learning Systems

- Sept. 23-26 in Las Vegas (featuring specialty certificate programs in lumbar stabilization/orthopedic/pediatric)
- Oct. 14-17 in Washington D.C. (featuring specialty certificate programs in hip and back/ortho and neuro treatment progressions/pain and function
- Nov. 18-21 in Chicago (featuring specialty certificate programs in orthopedic/pediatric/aging spectrum interventions)
